Emily Kenny
Helping the environment is not a job for Emily, but a lifestyle. Esurance awarded her as one of the “greenest” policyholders in 2006. For over 10 years, Emily has taught students of all ages about the natural world around them. Her experiences include organizing a fundraising bike ride from the ground up, coordinating entire council events for the Girl Scouts of America, being certified for numerous Merit Badges for the Boy Scouts of America and implementing special events for park districts. She is now with ME4E to expand her services to reach a more diverse population. Just recently she was certified to teach CPR/First Aid/AED courses too. Emily can be found coordinating volunteers, working on a non-profit board or just enjoying being outdoors when not educating others about the environment.

Michelle O'Connor
With a background in biology, environmental science, social work and teaching; Michelle is a perfect match for ME4E's multidisciplinary approach. Michelle has worked in the community as a literacy teacher, grant writer, crisis intervention worker and environmental policy advocate. The love of the natural world and teaching children, propelled Michelle into creating interdisciplinary programming for thousands of area school children. Students have the opportunity to learn math, science, language arts and physical fitness through her hands-on experiences. She has also assisted with numerous grants which helped many schools create outdoor garden habitats that enhance students’ learning skills in the classroom and beyond.
