Woodland Outdoor Classroom

During several teacher workshops, a make-and-take curriculum was created to allow students to learn about how plants and animals interact in a woodland. Measuring, comparing shapes, journaling and creating wildlife homes were part of this project. At the end of the school year, students in kindergarten through third grade worked together to plant
over 600 native wildflowers to their school’s woodland. This project
was primarily funded by a Learn and Serve grant.
