 
Abiotic/Biotic ExtravaganzaThe entire 5th grade class at Saul L. Beck Upper Grade Center in Ford Heights, IL participated in an all-day program focusing on abiotic and biotic things in their community. Monarch migration, periodical cicadas, water cycle, quadrat studies and rock cycle were just a few topic covered. The entire program was designed to utilized both hands-on classroom activities and schoolyard exploration.
